Dumbbell & Dumbbell Sets FAQ
Different dumbbell weights can serve different purposes as well as cater to your specific skill level. A set that goes up to 10kg or 20kg will be ideal for most beginners, great for toning and light resistance. From there, you can build up in increments to eventually get to 40kg or more for a real challenge.
For home workouts, we recommend adjustable dumbbells or vinyl-dipped fixed models. Adjustable ones are more compact and give you more options, while vinyl-dipped is safer on floors and quieter. Browse through our selection to find the dumbbell that’s right for you.
Fixed dumbbells are sturdier and don’t require any setup before use. Adjustable dumbbells offer greater diversity and can be a good way to save on space.
Dumbbells are incredibly effective for losing weight and building muscle. Combining strength training with dumbbells and cardio boosts metabolism while burning fat and preserving lean muscle.
Dumbbells can be used for curls, presses, rows, squats, lunges and lateral raises, targeting muscles in the arms, chest, back, shoulders and legs. Click here to see some examples of top dumbbell exercises.
